EFFECTIVE AUGUST 13, 2026
This site, goretcki.com, is run by Goretcki. We keep things simple: we collect as little as possible, we never sell data, and we show no ads. This page explains the little we do collect and the choices you have.
Cookies and analytics
With your permission only, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). Nothing loads until you press Accept on the cookie notice. If you decline, no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set.
| NAME | WHAT IT IS | LIFETIME |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics visitor identifier. Set only after you accept. | 2 years |
| _ga_PTHFG0R214 | Google Analytics session state. Set only after you accept. | 2 years |
| gk-consent | Your Accept/Decline choice, stored in your browser's localStorage so we do not ask again. Strictly functional. | Until you clear it |
Analytics data is processed for us by Google LLC. You can also block Google Analytics everywhere with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Change your cookie choice
Pressing this button clears your saved choice. The cookie notice will appear again on your next visit to the homepage.
DONE - YOUR CHOICE HAS BEEN CLEARED.
The contact form
The form on our homepage does not send anything to a server. It opens a draft in your own email app, addressed to us. We only receive what you choose to send, as a normal email, and we use it solely to reply to you.
Hosting and fonts
The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google LLC, USA). Like almost every host, Google keeps short-term server logs (IP address, browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from a Google server.
Client preview pages
Pages under /clients/ are private, unlisted design previews for our clients. They contain no analytics from us and are excluded from search engines. A preview may contain third-party embeds that are part of the client's own design (for example an embedded map).
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you (usually: nothing beyond emails you sent us), ask us to delete it, or ask any other question about this policy. Write to help@goretcki.com and we will respond.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and its effective date.
